GOD’S STRATEGY IN 2021

to

LIGHT A FIRE IN YOUR HOME!

Then the Lord will create above every dwelling place in Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night.  For overall the glory there will be a covering.

Isaiah 4:5

Because of all the restrictions brought on this last year by Covid 19,virtually the only place we have been free to worship, is in our own homes.   Christian fellowship has been limited to Zoom, which has its limitations. (It is hard to love one another as Jesus commanded on-line.)  I believe it is very much God’s heart, plan and strategy at this time to encourage us to worship Him in our homes; to make our homes centres of worship, houses of prayer and to build, rebuild or strengthen our home altar.  This is His NOW purpose.

When King David came to the throne of Israel, the worship of the nation took a huge leap forward.  Worship of God in Israel expanded as never before, at the same time, Israel’s territorial boundaries expanded immensely.  There is an obvious correlation between worship and expansion.  WORSHIP DETERMINES OUTCOMES, in your life, home, family, church, world.

Here in Isaiah 4:5 is a special promise and dream that God wishes to flag up to us, ‘Glory over your house and mine’, an open heaven with angels going on assignment.  It is time to consider the slogan again, ‘Every home a church, every church a discipleship centre’. (Even if the only disciple of Jesus, at this moment, in your house is you!)

If this above statement resonates with you and you are believing for a manifestation of His glory over your home and would like to connect with others with a similar vision please email bvrichardson@hotmail.com

THE APPOINTED TIME HAS COME!

July 2018

“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favour her, yes the set time has come, for Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust.”  Psalm 102:13,14

Many of my age group has been waiting and an expecting God to visit the Church in the UK with a mighty outpouring of His Spirit for 60 years.  The need is so immense; and there have been moments when we have witnessed a fresh move of God and wondered, ‘Is this what we have been waiting for?’, then, as at other times, the wave receded

Yet, we must sing with the psalmist, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion…”  Our prayers will be heard. The appointed time will come. God’s set time in His sovereign plan will arrive.  If ever in our nation did we need such a move, it must be now.  “Lord, may this be the season for Your mercy, for Your favour on the Church.”

I love what CH Spurgeon says, Let us bestir ourselves.  Let us love every stone of Zion, even though it may be fallen down.  Let us treasure up the least truth, the least ordinance, the least believer, even though some may despise them as so much dust.  When we favour Zion, God is about to favour her.  When we take pleasure in the Lord’s work, the Lord Himself will take pleasure in it.

Partnership

“I thank God every time I remember you…because of your partnership with the Gospel.” Philippians 1:15

When Ezekiel was given a vision of the glory of God, one aspect of that glory was, “wheels full of eyes, in the middle of wheels”, which all moved in different directions wherever the spirit led them.  Some have seen, ‘flying saucers’ in those wheels! I have always seen them like the cogs of as clock, all moving at different speeds, sometimes in different directions and yet all interconnected, working together completely in sync, with one aim, to record time.

What a glorious picture of the Kingdom of God.  His people are like the cogs of a clock often moving in different directions at different speeds, and yet all mysteriously interconnected bringing about God purposes.

Partnership is such a great example of this interconnectedness.  Vanessa and I are so dependent on our partners for their prayer and financial support, Liberation Ministries could not exist without them, and yet, at the same time, we personally partner with eight other ministries; from Shirley ministering to the Aborigines in Australia, to John and Rachael bringing the Gospel to primitive unreached people groups in Paraguay.  That means our partners in the UK,(perhaps unwittingly) are touching precious people in Australia and Tibet, and our prayer partners in Texas are touching the lives of incredibly needy folk in the Bulgaria and the Ukraine.

The ‘wheel’ of our relationship with our friends in the Elim Pentecostal Church here in the UK, is touching the wheels of other groups of churches in Paraguay and Uganda and China via our different partnerships.  When we have the privilege to minister in a church of a different denomination, Elim is influencing them and they are influencing Elim through us.  Sometimes, in the past, we have felt like bees picking up pollen here and there, all the time cross pollinating.

The Bible Society, Wycliffe Bible Translators and other organisations are doing a remarkable job in translating the Scripture into every known language in the world. (Only 3000 languages to go!).  The goal is to see those last 3000 have at least the New Testament in their tongue by 2030!  How is that going to happen?  Through the partnership of thousands of believers around the world giving £10 here and £50 there; through Christians bequeathing monies in their wills, etc. The translators cannot do their work without the partnership of other fellow believers!

Surely the glory of God is filling the earth as the waters cover the sea!
